Climate justice – behind this lies the longing for a different, solidary world community. One in which neither man nor nature are exploited and we distribute the wealth of our earth fairly. A future without climate catastrophe and without the patriarchal and colonial stink of the last centuries. „System change not climate change“ can therefore be read on so many signs of the FridaysForFuture strikes. What exactly is behind them and which visions are behind the demand „Climate Justice Now“, we want to discuss together with our guests Tonny Nowshin, Marinel Sumook, Hilda Flavia Nakabuye and Peter Donatus.
Marinel Sumook Ubaldo is a global youth activist from the Philippines. After she survived the super typhoon Haiyan 2013, she decided to become a climate activist. She is campaign coordinator for Ecological Justice at Living Laudato Si Philippines and one of the founders of the Youth Leaders Enviromental Action Federation.
Hilda Flavia Nakabuye is an environmental and climate justice activist. She co-founded FridaysForFuture Uganda and works for gender justice and anti-racism in the climate movement.
Tony Nowshin is an economist and Degrowth and climate justice activist. Currently she is organizing a campaign to save the Sunderbans in Bangladesh (https://www.change.org/fichtner ).
Peter Donatus is a freelance journalist, human rights activist and environmental activist. Currently he is also the chairman of Pay Day Africa International.

Klimagerechtigkeit – dahinter steckt die Sehnsucht nach einer andere, einer solidarischen Weltgemeinschaft. Einer, in der weder Mensch noch Natur ausgebeutet werden und wir den Wohlstand unserer Erde gerecht verteilen. Eine Zukunft ohne Klimakatastrophe und ohne den patriarchalen und kolonialen Mief der letzten Jahrhunderte. „System change not climate change“ ist deshalb zu lesen auf so vielen Schildern der Streiks von FridaysForFuture. Was sich genau dahinter verbirgt sowie welche Visionen hinter der Forderung „Climate Justice Now“ stecken, das wollen wir gemeinsam Diskutieren mit unseren Gästen Tonny Nowshin, Marinel Sumook, Hilda Flavia Nakabuye und Peter Donatus.
Marinel Sumook Ubaldo ist eine globale Jugendaktivistin der Philippinen. Nachdem sie den Super-Taifun Haiyan 2013 überlebte, entschloss sie sich Klimaaktivistin zu werden. Sie ist Kampagnen-Koordinatorin für Ökologische Gerechtigkeit bei Living Laudato Si Philippines und eine der Gründerin der Youth Leaders Enviromental Action Federation.
Hilda Flavia Nakabuye ist eine Umwelt- und Klimagerechtigkeitsaktivistin. Sie hat FridaysForFuture Uganda mitgegründet und setzt sich ein für Geschlechtergerechtigkeit und Antirassismus in der Klimabewegung.
